I grew up with Chip on Lanier Blvd. and our whole neighborhood was very close. I remember all the neighborhood sports we used to play at the different yards over the years. I remember spending Sunday evenings at his house because they had the only color television set in the neighborhood at the time. I pass by his old house when I visit my mother and think of all the good times I had there. RIP my friend. My condolences to Hunter, Grace and the rest of his family.
To my brother in blue, prayers are with you and Minka.
I cannot tell you how many pool games I played at Steve's house with Snuffy, Straighton, Eddie Toole and many others. What a smart and gentle soul he was. RIP Steve. My condolences to his family.

I hope you have a great birthday today and many more.
Straighton was one of my closest friends during our years at Grady H.S. I can assure you there was not a kinder human being on this earth. We had so many good memories and spoke of them a long time at our 40th reunion. I know that he'll be greeted by Rodney Phelps and Eddie Toole when he arrives at those pearly gates. RIP my good friend. I will never forget you.
