Attended UGA, performed w/Red Coat Band as Georgette, went to last 4 homecomings & performed w/the Alumni Band. Earned my BA in Sociology; earned my Master's in Counseling from Southern Connecticut College. Worked with battered women & their children, & with survivors of sexual assault for a few years in Ct. & in Wis. Moved to CO, became a full time mom! I was always the room parent. Jennifer was in Peanut Butter Players, our local professional children's theatre, during her middle & high school years, and I drove on all the tours. Since my kids were taking dance lessons, I did, too, & I perform in a dance concert or two every year (tap & jazz). I also sang for years in an annual Black Gospel Music Concert, directed by Dr. Horace Clarence Boyer (there aren't alot of African American folks here, so it was mostly a bunch of white people doing our best!). When Mary Kate finished elementary school in 1999, our principal offered me a position so I wouldn't have to leave the school! I've been the literacy parapro, the ESL parapro, the support sec'y - basically everything except the janitor or cook, and I do those jobs at home! I switched to volunteering at the school when Jennifer started her junior year at Shorter College, and I found myself flying to GA fairly often to see her performances. I have been sponsoring the 4th & 5th grades crochet club for 15 years. I began volunteering at the humane society, working with the dogs & cats, 10 years ago. Still enjoying all the volunteer work! We've done a bit of traveling - only international trips were Mexico & Great Britain. The kids & I drove cross country, Boulder to Atlanta, every summer 'til they grew up! Hoping to get back to GA to live one of these days!!

Working on the senior play was a blast - dancing backstage w/Ronnie Stein & Jane Adams during performances is one of my favorite memories!

Band was my favorite class - learning & teaching twirling routines & performing with my friends during half-time shows in Grady Stadium are memories that are dear to my heart.
