Comments:
I was drafted to the Army in August 1969 and was sent to to Viet Nam on my birthday in 1970. I made rank fast and while I was in Nam I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Accomodation Medal, and Flight medal plus two medals from the Vietnamess Government. I had many MOs to include flight operations co-ordinator, casulties reporting clerk, secterary to the commanding officer, awards and decorations clerk and company clerk. I also witness my first death there. I came back home to Trumbull, Conn in MArch of 1971 and did various jobs until I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. I married in 1977. I graduated from the University of Bridgeport (Conn.) with a bachelor's in music and received a Master's Degree in Psych from Cambridge College, Cambridge, Mass. I was ordained to the deaconate in 1984 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in Boston, MA by then Bishop Job who is now Archbishop Job of Chicago and the Midwest. I have been serving the same parish for the past 25 years. (Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church - Orthodox Church in America.) My former wife and I divorced and we remain friends to this day. Neither of us remarried.
