Children:
My only child Christina Ann was April 1984. What a wonderful daughter. She is a fashion photographer/stylist More…having gotten her degree at Fashion Institue in NYC. She goes to NYC twice a year for the fashion shows where she is a director. She manages a boutique on the East Side of Providence. She is a great organizer and a highly motivated woman who knows what she wants in life. She is engaged but hasn't set a date yet. She is also a very beautiful woman. Her mom and I gave her a high school graduation party and several people told me she looked like Hollywood material. (Thank God she didn't go that route.) I think my daughter has the best of her mother and me. She was a good child growing up and we never had any problems with her.

Business and Address:

I have been in methadone maintenace for nearly 20 years and have worked in Connecticut, Boston, and Worchester, MA and Providence Rhode Island. I also had my own business doing interior painting and wall papering as in between jobs. Due to cut backs I am not working at this time. Rhode Island has an unemployment rate of about 11% so I am one of the 65,000 + people out of work.

Comments:

I was drafted to the Army in August 1969 and was sent to to Viet Nam on my birthday in 1970. I made rank fast and while I was in Nam I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Accomodation Medal, and Flight medal plus two medals from the Vietnamess Government. I had many MOs to include flight operations co-ordinator, casulties reporting clerk, secterary to the commanding officer, awards and decorations clerk and company clerk. I also witness my first death there. I came back home to Trumbull, Conn in MArch of 1971 and did various jobs until I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. I married in 1977. I graduated from the University of Bridgeport (Conn.) with a bachelor's in music and received a Master's Degree in Psych from Cambridge College, Cambridge, Mass. I was ordained to the deaconate in 1984 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in Boston, MA by then Bishop Job who is now Archbishop Job of Chicago and the Midwest. I have been serving the same parish for the past 25 years. (Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church - Orthodox Church in America.) My former wife and I divorced and we remain friends to this day. Neither of us remarried.

School Story:

I don't have any stories in particular to share. I remember what a gracious and warm person Mrs King was as she was my homeroom teacher. Barbara Green and I used to joke around about having White Christmases, going to the prom with Susan Singer, talking about being a writer with Ann Brown. Lyn Deadmore and I worked on "Collage". She was a good poet too. I also remembering going to the greasy spoon (behind Grady??) for coffee in the morning prior to school starting.
