I am so sad to hear of Joy's passing.

She was always so kind and the

goodness just beamed from her face.

Way back at Morningside, when we

were in Mrs. Sims' combined 3rd &

4th grade class, I can remember Joy's

"helping" me to win a spelling bee

with the word "tomatoes".   Ever since

then, I always have had a tender spot

for Joy in my heart.  And she truly

was steadfastly kind for her whole

life.   I am grateful that I was able to 

see her and hug her and talk to her

for a little while at our Grady 

50th reunion.  

RIP, Joy.
